After observing that not many girls joined robotics, mainly because they felt discouraged in such a male-dominated field, team founders Sarah Denenberg and Raphaella Pereira realized that something needed to change. They worked with Hewlett Robotics mentor, Mike Christ, to form an all-girls team and since then, 7120 Bionica has blossomed to become an incredibly successful team.
